Collects, analyses, and maintains schedule information from all disciplines and functional teams to support development and maintenance of the integrated project schedule. Identifies schedule constraints and evaluates their impact on the overall project timeline. Coordinates with internal departments to ensure shared understanding of project schedule requirements and dependencies. Supports the integration of all schedule activities and monitors inter-discipline and functional interfaces to identify potential conflicts or risks.

Provides scheduling support and analysis to resolve interface issues and may perform similar scheduling support functions for the Outage Planning team.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
  • Obtains required schedule information by all disciplines/functions.

  • Identifies restraints and effect on total project schedule. Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.

  • Responsible for total integration of schedule activities. Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.

  • Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project.

  • Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.

  • Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to project team for discussion and/or decision.

  • Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

Education xperience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 6 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.

OR

Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.

OR

High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of project controls experience on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job or equivalent job.

Minimum Experience Includes:
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills in applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Proficient in Primavera P/6 or similar scheduling software such as Oracle Primavera Cloud, Power project, Deltek Acumen, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Open Project

  • Skilled in oral and written communication.

Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience and execution of Project Controls work on federal government projects.

  • Previous Earned Value Management System experience.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and Visio.

  • Prior experience with process engineering projects is desirable.

  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.

  • Previous Waste Treatment Project (WTP) experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting.
