Ferretti Search is delighted to partner with a high‑growth firm in the advanced nuclear energy sector to locate their next Engineering Leader to support their Advanced Reactor group. This leadership role could look like a more technical hire or “business”‑oriented hire.
Due to Department of Energy regulatory guidelines, our client is only able to consider U.S. Citizens for this role.
Location:
Tri‑Cities, Washington area highly preferred. The right candidate could potentially be remote + 25% travel on average and 50% in peak seasons.
Compensation:
Flexible salary opportunity with bonus eligibility. Rough salary range around $170‑220K, depending on candidate experience.
Schedule:
Hybrid preferred in Richland, WA; remote considered with willingness to travel 25–50%.

Shape key systems for advanced liquid‑metal reactors and drive growth of a business line at the cutting edge of clean energy.
- Engage Industry Leaders:
Build relationships across the advanced reactor community to identify unmet needs and scope potential projects. - Solve Novel Engineering Problems:
Lead design and execution for sodium purification systems, cover‑gas loops, and other auxiliary plant systems. - Drive Business Expansion:
Write technical white papers, shape proposals, and help win new contracts in a fast‑expanding sector. - Lead Projects:
Serve as lead engineer or technical project manager overseeing fabrication, integration, and testing of sodium‑related systems.
- Degreed Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Nuclear, Mechanical, or Process Engineering. - Experienced Professional: 10+ years of experience with hazardous chemical processes, advanced reactors, or DOE nuclear programs.
- Business‑Savvy Problem Solver:
Able to understand customer pain points, develop creative technical solutions, and represent them credibly. - Client‑Facing Leader:
Comfortable building relationships and presenting to engineers, directors, and executives. - Travel‑Ready:
Willing to travel 10–20% (up to 50% if remote).
