Safety Specialist, Programs at Central Plateau Cleanup Comp (CPCCo) in Richland, WA. The CPCCo mission is to reduce risk on the Hanford Site by providing a sustainable future and technical safety leadership in collaboration with DOE standards. This role supports CPCCo Projects across the plateau through OS&IH programs, procedures, and safety performance improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Helping develop OS&IH related communications, presentations, and campaigns
- Assisting in researching OSHA regulations and ANSI standards
- Supporting OS&IH Program Technical Authorities with maintaining and developing procedures
- Helping perform various OS&IH assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with requirements
- Participating in safety and health inspections
- Assisting with tracking OS&IH metrics and key performance indicators
- Participating in various safety committee meetings
- Attending site wide OS&IH committee meetings
- Providing support to maintain CPCCo s Site Wide Industrial Hygiene Database
- Early Career Level Grade 13:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - Intermediate Grade 14:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 or more years of relevant experience - The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate s education, training, and/or experience.
- Bachelor s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or other related fields
- Associate Safety Professional
- Graduate Safety Practitioner
- Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician
- Certified Occupational Health and Safety Technician
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate s education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Early Career Level Grade 13: $81,500 - $94,3000;
Intermediate Grade 14: $81,500 - $103,750
