- Manage a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic cases and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and decision-making in emergent and complex cases.
Skills and Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid state medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Extensive clinical experience in obstetric and gynecologic care.
- Ability to manage emergent and complex cases such as hysterectomies, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian cystectomies, hysteroscopies, IUD insertions, abscesses, post-hysterectomy complications, and exploratory laparotomies.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
Education and Experience
- Experience working in busy emergency or hospital settings.
- Additional certifications in advanced obstetric procedures.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
- MD or DO degree with completion of OB-GYN residency.
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Prior experience working in high-acuity or emergency settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in-house call shifts for multiple days per month, including scheduled dates as provided.
- Willingness to work long hours during assigned shifts with no overtime unless staying beyond scheduled 24-hour periods.
- Successful completion of all necessary credentialing, licensure, and certifications.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to medical standards.
