A Snapshot of Your DayIn this role, you will support the daily procurement and material planning activities that keep the Jackson Voltage Regulator manufacturing site running smoothly. Your day may include reviewing MRP signals in SAP, placing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers on delivery schedules, and analyzing inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production. You will also collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory and improve material flow.
Additionally, you will identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and help implement improvements that strengthen overall supply chain performance.
- Execute daily operational purchasing activities based on MRP signals to ensure timely material availability for production.
- Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including order creation, supplier coordination, delivery confirmation, and invoice resolution.
- Serve as a key point of contact for suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and logistics performance.
- Analyze material demand, inventory levels, and usage trends to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain inventory accuracy and efficient material flow.
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve logistics processes through data analysis, root cause problem solving, and process optimization.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in operational procurement, material planning, inventory control, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze supply chain data and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency with SAP and supply chain planning tools, along with experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of inventory management methodologies such as Kan Ban, safety stock analysis, and warehouse management systems.
