Overview

The Home Depot job description describes a Customer Service/Sales Associate who provides fast, friendly service, helps customers assess needs, learns products, and supports selling an entire project. Associates greet, qualify, recommend and close customers in their department and may support adjacent departments.

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers and assessing their needs.
• Learn product information using company tools and help customers choose products to complete a project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close customers in their department; assist with neighboring departments as needed.
• Maintain in-stock conditions in assigned areas and ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow safety policies and standards, complete required safety training, correct hazards or report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty, and work safely to protect self and others.
• Collaborate with Department Supervisor and other department teammates.
• Be aware of store departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.

• Base pay range: $16.50/hr - $19.50/hr
