Position OverviewThe Front-End Supervisor leads the daily operations of the checkout area, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth transactions, and a positive team environment. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced retail setting, and enjoys developing others.
You’ll support the front-end team (cashiers, baggers, and guest service associates), oversee registers, and help create an atmosphere that reflects Sara’s signature hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service with warmth and efficiency.
- Resolve guest concerns and handle escalations with professionalism and care.
- Ensure checkout lines move quickly and accurately during peak hours.
- Maintain Sara’s high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Supervise, motivate, and support front-end staff including cashiers and baggers.
- Assist in training new team members on POS systems, service standards, and procedures.
- Create a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters growth and accountability.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
- Oversee cash handling, register balancing, and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and security procedures.
- Maintain front-end supplies and assist with scheduling needs.
- Support store management with opening and closing responsibilities.
- 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, or hospitality (supervisory experience preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy hours.
- Flexible schedule — availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays.
