Job Summary

Title: Cook – Panda Express (Full and Part Time)
Location: 800 W Campbell Road, SU-23, Richardson, TX 75080 – University of Texas – Dallas
Schedule: Full Time – Business operating hours typically 10:00 am‑7:30 pm (Spring semester);
Part Time – hours to be coordinated with supervisor.
Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour.

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare food for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, appearance, and taste.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records.
• Clean kitchen area after preparation and serving, upholding high cleanliness standards; store or discard excess food per safe food‑handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; store items per standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assist with ordering and receiving all food and supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform all tasks safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Commit personally to safety for self and others.
• Abide by all Company policies and procedures, including:
  • Use medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
  • Use oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
  • Use slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
