Fulltime, Days; 7:30a – 4:30p;
Monday-Friday

- Fast-Paced, 48 bed inpatient Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health Units
- Nursing Diploma required or Assistant Degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- BSN preferred
- BCLS prior to hire
- BCPMHN upon hire required
- ACPI (30 days within hire)
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- One year of Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinate quality patient care
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assess the patient
- Plan for the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
