Fulltime, Days; 7:30a – 4:30p;
Monday-Friday

• Fast-Paced, 48 bed inpatient Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health Units

• Nursing Diploma required or Assistant Degree from an accredited Nursing program required
• BSN preferred
• BCLS prior to hire
• BCPMHN upon hire required
• ACPI (30 days within hire)
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• One year of Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinate quality patient care

• Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assess the patient
• Plan for the care of the patient
• Intervene as appropriate
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporate age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information
• Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
