Job Description

The Area Facilities Manager is primarily responsible for building operations and maintenance for an assigned group of properties including supervising and coordinating the activities of the facilities team. This role will ensure locations operate safely, efficiently, and reliably by maintaining and repairing equipment and infrastructure in a timely manner and leads the operations of facility by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and expectations.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will oversee and coordinate facility services across assigned locations to maintain safe, efficient, and fully functional environments.
  • You will conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc property inspections, documenting conditions, compliance status, and maintenance or improvement needs.
  • You will ensure preventive maintenance, disaster preparedness, and timely corrective actions in coordination with internal teams.
  • You will manage ATM lighting compliance and oversee signage standards at all banking centers.
  • You will serve as the primary liaison for leasing tenants, resolving issues, enforcing agreements, and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • You will oversee third‑party vendors and contractors, monitoring performance against KPIs, SLAs, budgets, and audit requirements.
  • You will manage facilities budgets, capital and operational projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and the full employee lifecycle for direct reports.
Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in facilities management with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Facility Maintenance Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) certification a plus

  • Thorough knowledge of facilities management
  • Advanced project planning/management skills with ability to coordinate many activities and multiple priorities
  • General Understanding of critical systems (Generators, UPS, Fire Suppression)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced presentation skills for both internal and external audiences
  • Working Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing of facility activities
  • Strong accounting skills in order to develop budgets and financial planning
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Enterprise Software and CMMS required.
