OverviewThis role is responsible for the overall management of a warehouse or distribution center, ensuring seamless operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping. Implement and refine operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse staff. Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations to foster a productive and motivated work environment.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts. Implement systems to optimize storage space and manage product flow.
- Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate with logistics providers, suppliers, and internal departments (e.g., procurement, production, customer service) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all company, local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Maintain a clean and secure work environment and oversee the regular maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, and labor costs. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Budgeting: Contribute to the development and management of the annual warehouse budget, scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances to meet financial objectives.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance warehouse functionality and streamline the supply chain.
- Other duties as assigned
- Supply Chain Expertise: Deep knowledge of supply chain management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve operational and performance goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Analytical

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and improve processes. - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with staff, senior management, and external partners.

This is a leadership role, but it will require time on the warehouse floor. The candidate should be able to:
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Operate or oversee the use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification is a plus).
- 7 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics management role.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and optimizing warehouse operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
