Overview

Auto Damage Trainee – Dallas, TX

Salary: $30.53 per hour / $61,500 annually

Sign on bonus: $1,500 for candidates who hold an adjusters license that is active and in good standing.

Accidents can be scary, and our Auto Damage team rises to the occasion to provide unparalleled service when our customers need us most. GEICO is looking for motivated Trainee Adjusters to join our Auto Damage team in Dallas, TX corporate office.

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting

GEICO is expanding our digital footprint to provide our customers with the fastest turnaround on their claims. As an adjuster on our Easy Photo Estimate (EPE) team you’ll leverage your critical thinking and technology savvy to manage a caseload of claims estimates and negotiate repair settlements. EPE Adjusters use AI and industry leading technology to efficiently manage the repair process and help our customers get back on the road.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assess vehicle damage caused by all types of accidents
  • Estimate vehicle repair costs and negotiate equitable settlements
  • Partner with other adjusters and supervisors to work with body shops, rental partners, and parts providers
Required Qualifications
  • Critical thinking and decision making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task, while navigating through multiple business applications
  • Experience with KPIs and measurable goals
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Active Insurance Adjusters license (preferred)
  • Prior technical background with demonstrated experience in computer systems, AI technology, or hands-on automotive work (preferred)
Training and Location

Paid training includes 3 weeks of required hands-on experience at our Ashburn, VA training facility. We’ll teach you the ins and outs of automobile damage adjusting and provide the resources and support so you can directly assist our customers after accidents or major disasters.

    Earn a +10% pay differential for eligible shifts
  • Weekend Shift Differentials:
    Earn a +20% pay differential for eligible shifts
