Job Title: Data Governance Manager
Location: Richardson, TX (2 days in office, 3 days remote)
Duration: 6-month contract (option to extend or convert)
Position OverviewThis role drives adoption of standards, master data management, data quality initiatives, and strategic data products to enable trusted, high-value analytics.
Key Responsibilities- Lead enterprise data governance strategy, standards adoption, and implementation of governance programs.
- Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing data governance and data management teams across regions.
- Serve as the champion for data governance, data stewardship, and compliance across accounts.
- Establish data quality frameworks, metadata management, reference data, and issue tracking processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement governance across business lines and regions.
- Support adoption of strategic data products, analytics platforms, and enterprise data initiatives.
- Develop metrics, reporting, and board-level presentations on governance progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years at management level.
- Experience leading governance initiatives in large, complex, global organizations.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, master data management, and metadata management.
- Proficiency with tools such as Collibra
, SQL
, Excel
, and data analytics platforms. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in commercial real estate (CRE) or analytics preferred.
- Strategic thinking with ability to drive change and adoption across distributed teams.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of data privacy, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and data security practices.
- Ability to translate complex data issues into business insights and recommendations.
