A Senior Manager of Data and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) leads teams in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and platforms, focusing on data integration, quality, and accessibility for analytics and business intelligence, bridging technical execution with strategic leadership in areas like cloud data warehousing (Snowflake) and big data technologies, ensuring data reliability, scalability, and supporting enterprise data strategy.
Responsibilities- Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, setting direction and fostering best practices. - Data Architecture:
Define the technical blueprint for scalable, reliable data solutions, often in multi-cloud environments (AWS). - ETL/ELT Development:
Oversee the end-to-end process of moving data from various sources into data warehouses or lakes. - Data Governance:
Implement data quality checks, define business rules, and ensure data reliability and observability. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Partner with product managers, analysts, and executives to understand needs and deliver impactful data products. - Technology Expertise:
Drive adoption and implementation of modern data tools (Snowflake, Python, Qlik).
- Deep experience in data warehousing, modeling, and large-scale data integration.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and workflow orchestrators (e.g., Airflow).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and technologies like Snowflake.
- Strong programming skills (Python) and understanding of APIs/distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking.
