The Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and Enterprise Architect (EA) role is responsible for establishing digital strategies in partnership with the Digital Technology (DT) Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to accelerate digital transformation within the business. This is a highly strategic role within the Collins Enterprise Architecture (EA) organization, collaborating extensively with all areas of DT, the Program Work Environment (PWE), and RTX Enterprise and Digital Services.

- Possesses rich Information Technology (IT), Systems Engineering or related field experience, with a strong understanding of architectural principles and industry best practices.
- Ability to analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to anticipate their impact on enterprise strategy and drive innovation.
- Acts as a Digital Technology (DT) thought leader and architectural evangelist, effectively communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Extensive Technical Leadership – 10+ years of experience in senior‑level technical roles, guiding architecture and engineering initiatives across complex environments.
- Broad Enterprise Architecture Expertise – Deep hands‑on experience across Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Infrastructure, Application Architecture, Integration, Business Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Data domains.
- Digital Transformation & Product Lifecycle Knowledge – Strong understanding of digital transformation strategies, product development, and full product lifecycle management.
- System Architecture & Integration – Proven ability to design and validate system architectures and Systems‑of‑Systems (SoS) integration approaches to comply with Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Security Plans (PSP), Program Protection Plan (PPP), System Security Plans (SSP), DD254’s, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Accreditation & Authorization packages. SAP & SCI controls.
- Strategic Technology Planning – Skilled in identifying and planning future‑state architectures and technology pipelines aligned with business goals.
- Innovation Through Technology – Demonstrated success in conceiving and delivering innovative, value‑driven solutions using emerging technologies.
- Industry Standards & Frameworks – Familiarity with industry‑standard technology frameworks and methods (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, etc.) and current security controls and awareness (e.g., NISPOM, DoD 5200.01, NIST, EO13526, CNSSP‑11 & 12).
- Current DoD Security Clearance (Secret) with the ability to obtain a Top‑Secret (TS/SCI) clearance.
