The Vice President, Employer Business Group Development and Sales
, will play a pivotal role in expanding a new business group within Mede Analytics. This group offers a comprehensive, innovative platform that provides employers, brokers, and advisors with actionable insights into healthcare spending, tools to manage costs, and the ability to customize benefits for unique employee sub-populations.

This role will collaborate closely with Mede Analytics' General Manager, Employer Solutions and Platform, to establish and lead both channel and direct sales efforts targeting self-funded employers, advisors, captives, and broker customers. Critical skills include: A deep understanding of healthcare trends, benefits decision-making processes, economics, data analytics and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for a dynamic and accomplished professional to shape and lead the first unified healthcare benefits management and optimization platform shifting benefits planning from reactive reporting to proactive strategic management.

Mede Analytics Employer solutions bring together benefits spend visibility (claims, fees, rebates/administration), AI-enabled analytics and contract intelligence, and execution tools (action planning, project tracking, sourcing, and vendor performance management) in a single system.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with decision-makers at self-insured employers, benefits advisors, and captives.
  • Introduce and position capability-based solutions tailored to customer needs through innovative, consultative selling strategies.
  • Understand the competitive differentiation of various claims analytics, contract management and administrative management capabilities that brokers, employers and captives leverage for decision-making and documentation.
  • Develop and manage indirect channel partnerships with brokers/advisors, employer consortia, law firms, private equity firms, and other organizations with influence in the self-funded employer market.

Sales Execution and Market Penetration

  • Create and execute comprehensive territory and pipeline strategies to achieve sales targets and drive growth.
  • Partner with Mede Analytics Marketing to lead go-to-market initiatives and drive brand and market awareness across early, mid and late stage client development.
  • Partner with marketing and broader Mede Analytics sales team to craft solutions for existing customers.
