Works under minimal supervision to provide professional and technical skills in evaluation and treatment program of physical therapy to restore body function or to prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part. Responsible for proper application of a variety of therapeutic methods in treating patients such as hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, heat, massage, and exercise.

More than a year of experience as a Physical Therapist
Job Duties- Plans physical therapy programs for each patient as prescribed by physician involving use of one or combination of therapeutic methods and modalities.
- Administers prescribed treatments, modifying such treatments as indicated by patient's reaction.
- Applies diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.
- Directs and aids patients in treatment programs.
- Evaluates, records, and reports patients' progress for review by supervisor or other members of rehabilitation team.
- Assists with record keeping as necessary to meet requirements of accrediting agencies.
- Participates in training medical and nursing personnel and students in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
- Participates in rounds, clinics, and meetings as needed.
- Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records; or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
