COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed services and technology-enabled organization with global headquarters overseas and a growing U.S. presence.
The U.S. business generates approximately $35M in revenue today and is entering an aggressive growth phase, with plans to significantly expand revenue and headcount over the next several years.
Following a recent sponsor transaction, the organization is focused on building scalable infrastructure across finance, sales, and HR to support its next stage of growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Head of Finance, US will serve as the senior finance leader for U.S. operations, responsible for upgrading and scaling the finance function to meet private equity governance standards while partnering closely with a commercially driven CEO.
This role blends hands-on operational finance leadership with strategic business partnership. The individual will operate autonomously in the U.S. while maintaining strong alignment with international leadership. Over time, the scope may expand as the business continues to scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as primary finance partner to the US CEO.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and EBITDA performance management.
- Develop forward-looking financial models to support pricing and expansion.
- Support board reporting and sponsor communications.
FP&A & Commercial Partnership
- Institutionalize annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Shift finance from reactive reporting to proactive decision support.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and HR to drive accountability and pricing discipline.
- Support U.S. acquisition diligence and integration efforts.
Accounting & Controls
- Oversee multi-entity accounting and GAAP compliance.
- Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Accelerate close timelines and reporting consistency.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Optimize current ERP and Excel-based reporting environment.
- Modernize dashboards and reporting frameworks.
- Evaluate and upgrade team structure as needed.
- Assess and develop existing finance team.
- Build a high-performance, commercially minded finance function.
- Establish scalable processes aligned with PE expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA required; 10–15+ years progressive experience.
- Big Four foundation strongly preferred.
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
- Strong commercial FP&A and financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience partnering with sales-driven leadership teams.
- Exposure to IFRS frameworks a plus.
- Systems-savvy and comfortable improving legacy reporting environments.
