Sr. Corporate Income Tax Specialist - CPA
A international manufacturing company is seeking a Sr. Corporate Income Tax Specialist to support the corporate tax department primarily in the following areas: corporate tax planning and special projects, federal/state/international audit defense work, and federal and state tax compliance projects.
Position Details- Employment type: Direct Hire
- Salary: $90k to $100k DOE plus benefits
- Location: Richardson, TX 75080
- Prepare and analyze support for complex planning projects associated with the implementation of the company’s tax planning strategies.
- Assist with special tax planning projects related to the quarterly and annual tax provision including data analysis and journal entry preparation.
- Management of responses to tax notices, exam information requests and other correspondence related to state and international tax audits.
- Assist with the preparation of the Country-by-Country report and Master File for the federal tax return.
- Work closely with teams across the company to collect and keep up-to-date key tax related information.
- Assist in preparing federal and state tax returns and work papers in coordination with tax operations team as needed.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of Corporate Income Tax experience, not sales tax.
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
Master’s degree in Tax preferred. - 3+ years previous corporate tax experience.
- 3+ years in public accounting or large corporate tax department.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with accounting and tax software systems (Hyperion, SAP and Corporate Tax) is a plus.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team; flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize assignments, and meet critical and established deadlines.
- Demonstrates analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Rapid learning and implementation of new procedures, software tools, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and adjust priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
