Graduate Engineer , Transportation

Overview

Halff has an immediate opening for a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Richardson, TX location. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in roadway and highway design projects. This opportunity offers career development with potential for growth and ownership in the firm.

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Driving Record
• The ability to obtain an EIT Certificate within one (1) year
• Great communication skills
• Solid relationship and team building skills
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills
• 0 to 3 years of experience in Transportation Design for roadway & highway design projects
• Experience in Micro Station and/or Open Roads Designer
• Knowledge of applicable traffic engineering/ITS, and roadway standards and methods

• Multi-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets
• Extensive knowledge in planning, designing and managing transportation projects to move people and goods safely and reliably
• Collaborative approach to transportation projects
