Platform Engineer II​/Linux; Onsite

Raytheon is looking for Platform Engineer II / Linux (Onsite) in Richardson, TX.

• You will leverage industry best practices to develop and communicate implementation of infrastructure solutions.
• You will maintain existing systems through Linux‑based tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs.
• You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMware.
• You will ensure that the COTS stack and versioning are kept up to date and work with the team to make updates as necessary.
• You will travel to customer sites to assist with system updates and deliveries when necessary.

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Physics and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Experience with VMware.
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
• Current TS/SCI issued security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required and only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions.
• Experience with basic Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts.
• Experience with Layer7 technologies is a plus.
• Experience with modernization technologies such as Terraform/Ansible, Artifactory, X‑ray, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Sonar Qube, etc.
