The field of metrology, which is the study of measurements, developing measurement science for manufacturing, ensures the quality and calibration of measurement instrument, and ensures measurements and measuring instruments meet regulatory requirements for fair trade and consumer protection.
The Surveillance Metrology Operations is the umbrella organization managing M&TE calibrations and M&TE recall to meet contractual calibration requirements throughout Raytheon Surveillance sector.
This position is an onsite position located in Richardson, TX.
What You Will Do- Coordinate and collaborate with Raytheon associates to perform calibrations that certify measurement and test equipment meets required contractual and government standards.
- Analyze measured data to determine conformance to specifications, draft calibration reports and present results in the appropriate manner to meet customer needs.
- Develop and document calibration procedure.
- Perform uncertainty analyses to confirm the adequacy of the measurement process.
- Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum one year’s experience in a field dealing with electrical or mechanical engineering or applied physics.
- Minimum of one year knowledge of ANSI/NCSL Z540 and ISO 17025 standards.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Knowledge of programming using Visual Basic, MATLAB, LabVIEW and etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Previous calibration and troubleshooting experience with various types of equipment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data/findings and writing calibration procedures.
- Able to solve technical problems, meet deadlines, and can multitask.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
