Job Description:
The SSI Hybrid Clerical Support person provides critical administrative assistance to individuals navigating the Social Security Administration (SSA) application process for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). This entry-level role focuses on gathering essential data and ensuring timely application filings to improve approval outcomes. Applicants must live in the DFW area and available for initial and ongoing training in Richardson, TX.
Responsibilities- Information Gathering:
Interview applicants to obtain, clarify, and verify personal, and financial information required for SSA forms. - Documentation Management:
Collect and organize required SSA paperwork, Social Security Representative form (1696) Medical release forms (827). - Application Preparation:
Assist with accurate completion of SSA forms. - Communication & Liaison:
Act as a point of contact between the applicant and the SSA for timely application submissions. - Data Entry:
Enter and update applicant data into specialized case management system, maintaining strict confidentiality. - Answers inbound calls. Makes calls to patients, agencies, or others
- Uses clear, simple language to ensure understanding in English and/or Spanish
- Complies with all state and federal laws regarding HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Able to remain focused and productive each day with minimum supervision
- Demonstrates respect for all individuals

- May be assigned other duties by management
- Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with physical or mental impairments. - Detail-Oriented:
Ability to accurately review complex records for missing or inconsistent data. - Technical Proficiency:
Experience with standard office software (spreadsheets, email) and the ability to learn federal database systems. - Knowledge:
Familiarity with Social Security Supplemental Security Income-SSI and SSDI—is preferred but not required. - Education:
High School diploma / GED (or higher) - Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

- Strong work ethic demonstrated with excellent outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to provide the best possible experience for our patients
- Experience navigating a computer while on the phone
- Willing to work and contribute to a team environment
- Ability to trouble-shoot problems
- Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, long periods working at a computer.
- Must have a designated workspace separated from noise and distractions to ensure privacy for HIPAA protected information.
- Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm
- Monday to Friday 12pm to 5pm
