Job Summary
The UT Dallas Office of Institutional Compliance is currently hiring a Compliance Coordinator to join our team. Holding the title of Compliance Coordinator
, the role will report to the Assistant Vice President and provide departmental administrative, fiscal, and operational support. The Coordinator will assist the development, implementation, and operation of UTD’s Institutional Compliance Program.
- FLSA Status:
Nonexempt - Salary Grade: 13
- Anticipated Salary Range: $57,500 to $58,900 depending on qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and three years of administrative experience, including at least one year of compliance and/or budget management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies- Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication and Interpersonal: Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Organization and Planning: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks.
- Position Specific: Proficiency with interpreting, applying, and monitoring organizational policies; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with electronic records; ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities.
- Professionalism: Ability to act with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with People Soft Human Capital System, Financial Management System, and related tools.
- Proficiency with analytics dashboard software.
- Ability to develop and implement educational and training programs.
- Budget management experience.
- Communications or marketing and event planning experience.
- Experience managing a compliance functional area or program, preferably in higher education.

Administrative & Office Management
- Function as department liaison to budget, human resources, payroll, and other units.
- Manage departmental budget and perform monthly account reconciliation via People Soft; prepare purchase orders, vouchers, deposits, fund transfers, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate office maintenance, record storage, shredding, supply ordering, and inventory management.
- Complete new hire and employment documents; coordinate onboarding for all new employees.
- Maintain calendars and manage organization of meetings, events, and programs.
Communication and Outreach Activities
- Assist with program research and development of campus compliance programs.
- Manage departmental Lunch & Learn/Tea & Lunch professional development program and coordinate marketing campaigns.
- Assist with facilitation and resolution of barrier reports and accommodation requests.
- Provide backup communications support for UTD’s General Compliance Education Programs.
- Maintain expertise on policy and procedural changes affecting institutional compliance.
Assessment & Analysis
- Assist in internal monitoring of compliance activities and provide updates to leadership.
- Coordinate compliance program data and prepare reporting documents.
- Manage compliance log and quarterly reports; track submissions and responses.
- Coordinate and prepare metrics for regular reporting.
- Provide data analysis and reporting support for OIC operations.
Other
- Perform related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Primarily sedentary office environment; moderate to high stress; requires significant computer use.
- Occasional travel around campus for meetings and events.
