Production Supervisor - Paper and Finishing

Your Mission

• Manage the shift team on production KPI’s
• Maintains morale and discipline of the team on shift
• Production:
  Meet volume and efficiency targets for PM 41 and PM 42 at the required quality
• SHEQ:
  High focus on water usage, fibre loss, Safety and Health issues, and complies with environmental and safety regulations
• Cost:
  Manage production, material and people costs
• Troubleshoot operational problems in the plant
• Liaises with Maintenance Foreman in order to carry out maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner
• Carry out plant inspections and ensure defects are rectified
• Assists the PTO with development of his/her team, training and Pass Out of personnel
• Act effectively as a first Line Manager
• Excellent technical problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a high‑pressure environment

Your profile

• Matric plus N4 (Supervisory Management)
• National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline
• BTech would be advantageous
• 7 - 10 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry
• 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment
• 1 – 2 Years Leadership experience would be advantageous
