Job Description
An Au pair in America offers numerous benefits, including cultural exchange, personal and professional development, and financial advantages. Au pairs gain international work experience, improve their English, and experience American culture while living with a host family. They also receive a weekly stipend, a private room and board, and a contribution towards educational courses.
The Au pair is considered as a full member of the family during the Au pair stay. As such, he or she helps the family with childcare and can be asked to assume some light household tasks. In return, the host family provides free board and lodging, as well as pocket money.
Au Pair Duties:
Supervising children during playtime and activities.
Preparing meals and snacks for the children.
Helping with homework and school projects.
Taking children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
Ensuring children's safety and well-being.
Tidying up children's rooms and play areas.
Doing children's laundry.
Cleaning up after children in shared spaces like the kitchen.
