Position: Unarmed Auxiliary Security Officer

Compensation: $20.50 per hour

Shift Flexibility: Flexibility with shifts is required. Weekend, holiday, evening, overnight, and holiday availability is required. Applicants must be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.

• Remain alert at all times, observing surroundings and spotting suspicious activity, potential threats, or disorderly conduct.
• Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors keep visible badges at all times.

• Monitor access points and verify badges or identification to allow only authorized individuals into buildings.
• Prevent tailgating and require individual swipe of access cards for all employees, visitors, and contractors.

• Control access to the facility through truck gates, ensuring vehicles are logged, inspected, and authorized per security policies.

• Respond swiftly to emergencies such as medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.
• Assist with evacuations, provide first aid, and call for help when needed.

• Act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity.
• Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.

• Maintain detailed records of incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences.

• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance and information.
• Demonstrate politeness, patience, and clear communication for positive interactions.
• Offer excellent customer service by giving directions, opening doors, and greeting people in a professional manner.

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State BSIS California Guard Card.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Computer skills are essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Security Guard experience preferred, not required.
• Must successfully pass a pre‑employment background check.
