Job Overview

We are looking for a challenging and rewarding role where no two days are the same. We need highly motivated and suitably dedicated personnel for the position of Theatre Assistant working in Glan Clwyd Operating Theatres.

Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is a busy hospital located in the beautiful county of Denbighshire, with immediate access to the main route in and out of North Wales (A55). It has a new, fully refurbished, and modern Theatre Suite comprising 12 operating theatres covering a variety of surgical specialties including Colorectal (including laparoscopic surgery), major Head & Neck (ENT & Max Fax), Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Vascular, Orthopaedics (trauma & elective), Breast, and Emergency surgery.

Duties of the Job
  • Provide support for the delivery of high standard care to patients within the theatre complex and work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the theatre.
  • Provide safe transportation service for all patients coming to theatre and back to the ward area and also within the operating theatre complex.
  • Ensure that care is of a high standard, is non‑discriminatory and non‑prejudicial, and carry out all tasks in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
    Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
