Extrusion Machine Operator

Overview

As an Extrusion Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated extrusion machinery to ensure smooth, efficient production of high-quality plastic products. You'll monitor performance, carry out quality checks, and help keep production targets on track.

• Set up and operate extrusion machines in line with production specifications.
• Load raw materials and monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Identify and report faults, performing basic troubleshooting where required.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Previous experience operating extrusion or similar automated machinery (plastics manufacturing preferred).
• Good understanding of production processes and machine controls.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality issues quickly.
• Mechanically minded with problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
