About Us

Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion‑Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. The Grwp aims to support the economy of North Wales by equipping local people with the skills and qualifications needed to ensure the competitiveness and success of the region.

As an Engineering lecturer your primary purpose will be to educate and inspire the next generation of engineers through high‑quality teaching, instruction, curriculum development and student mentorship. You will be responsible for delivering inspiring and engaging lessons, assessing student progress and fostering knowledge, practical skills and innovation. Your role will extend beyond the classroom, involving CPD to stay current in your field, collaboration with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and contribution to departmental initiatives.

By balancing theoretical knowledge with hands‑on experience and maintaining a safe learning environment, your aim will be to equip students with the skills, knowledge and problem‑solving abilities needed for a successful career in engineering.

Contract type:
Permanent
Weekly hours: 37 hours per week. 835 hours annual teaching time, 24 to 26 hours teaching per week. Up to 5 hours per week working off‑site in agreement with manager.

• 46 days leave per annum.
• All normally observed public holidays, determined annually.
• Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.
