Yard Associate - CDL A Operator

Position Overview

As a Yard Associate you will oversee various duties at Marina, Dutch Harbor Boat Yard and Taylor Point Boat Yard. Your primary focus will be hauling and launching boats using our hydraulic trailers, and you will be responsible for various duties around our boat yards.

• Launching and hauling sailboats and power boatsli>
• Operate front end loader and hydraulic trailer
• Detailing and compound and wax
• Commission and decommission 100 commercial moorings on brand new mooring barge
• General boat upkeep and minor repair
• Bottom painting
• Shrink wrapping
• General handy work on yard assets as needed
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs as needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• Follow TPG Safety and Environmental rules, willingness to take training
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
• Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct Manager

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-3 years experience preferred
• CDL A driver’s license required
• RI Hoisting License for Crane preferred
• Basic boat handling skills preferred
• Ability to work on‑site in Jamestown, RI
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly
• All candidates must be ready, willing, and able to work a fully flexible work schedule that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays to meet the fluctuating business demands
