Maintenance Mechanic; Carpentry-Focused - 1st Shift - Wakefield, RI

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic – 1st Shift – Wakefield, RI

Compensation: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour

Assists with day‑to‑day upkeep, general maintenance, drywall repair, painting, and operation of the facility. 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Perform building and grounds repairs.
• Conduct routine rounds of mechanical spaces, checking equipment readings.
• Replace HVAC air filters per schedule.
• Monitor building security and safety, lock doors after hours, check electrical appliance use.
• Notify managers of needed major repairs or additions.
• Coordinate building and system repairs with other departments.
• Respond to emergency call‑in situations.
• Report any deficiencies on specific jobs or equipment.
• Assist other trades as required.
• Assist with facilities emergency events per policy.
• Support and review work of outside vendors.
• Maintain mechanical spaces per Quality Assurance Program.
• Maintain necessary stock and tools.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Drive vehicles required to perform work.
• Document work per department procedures.
• Complete safety and technical training as assigned.
• Wearing appropriate PPE and protective gear.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High‑school diploma, GED, or 1 year of trade/vocational school.

• Two years general maintenance, painting, and drywall experience in commercial, industrial, or healthcare settings.
