Job Description
Molding Technician – 1st and 3rd Shift (Direct Hire)
Location:
Slatersville, RI

We are seeking an experienced Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team in Slatersville, RI. This role is responsible for performing machine setups, process adjustments, troubleshooting, and supporting automation equipment within a high-volume molding environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, solid understanding of molding processes, and the ability to communicate and collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities- Set up and clean molding machines according to established standards
- Operate HMI, mold controllers, material conveyance systems, water heaters, pumps, and related equipment
- Adjust molding processes with guidance from Senior Technicians to ensure products meet specifications
- Modify heats, timing, speeds, and make minor mold adjustments
- Assist in setup of automation equipment as needed
- Includes closing machines, box fillers, assembly systems, picker arms, hopper loaders, lining machines, and diverters
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Perform material and product changeovers efficiently
- Enter production data into ERP systems and internal databases
- Train machine operators as required
- Communicate process changes, requirements, and issues across shifts and departments
- Assist in evaluating non-conforming materials and support corrective action efforts
- Partner with Engineering and Tool Room teams to maintain cavitation standards
- Support efficient usage of materials, labor, and energy
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace following good housekeeping practices
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules, quality standards, documentation, and procedures
- Accurately complete material and inventory transactions
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the molding industry
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to compliance
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and documentation
