Overview
The Squires Group is seeking a knowledgeable and detail‑oriented Leave and Accommodation Specialist to support employee leave administration for our client. In this role, you will administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ compensation, and disability programs, ensuring accurate tracking and strong customer service throughout each case. This position supports a higher education environment and involves working with People Soft.
This role is onsite in Kingston, RI, and is open to Green Card Holders and U.S. Citizens only.
Responsibilities- Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodation requests, workers’ compensation, and short‑term/long‑term disability.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on leave options, processes, eligibility, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with HR partners, managers, and third‑party administrators to ensure accurate and timely handling of leave cases.
- Maintain detailed case files, documentation, and system records in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, institutional policies, and leave‑related regulations.
- Provide high‑quality customer service while handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, short‑term/long‑term disability programs, and employment laws.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Experience working with People Soft/PSFT HR modules.
- Strong communication, case‑management, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- W2 Hourly rate: $33 - $37. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
