Grants Cost Accounting​/Billing Support

Overview

The Squires Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to provide Grants Cost Accounting and Billing support for our client. In this role you will provide back-fill support for the grants billing team, assisting with the generation and reconciliation of invoicing and receivables related to sponsored research awards. This role supports the financial management of federally funded research and works closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.

This role is based in the Kingston, Rhode Island area. Candidates will be expected to be onsite in Kingston, RI. Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders.

• Back-fill support for grants billing, generating, and reconciling invoicing and receivables for sponsored awards.
• Generate and process invoices for sponsored research awards.
• Reconcile grant-related receivables and ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Support the grants billing team with day‑to‑day billing operations.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with funding agency and institutional requirements.

• Experience with grants or research billing, preferably with federally funded awards.
• Experience working in the higher education industry required.
• Experience working with People Soft required.

• W2 hourly rate: $45 - $49. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications, and are subject to change at any time.
