Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, company benefits, job costing, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Partner closely with operations to analyze project performance, cost structures, inventory, and profitability.
• Maintain strong inventory control processes and monitor scrap rates to ensure accurate cost reporting, reduce waste, and support overall operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and operational insights to senior leadership to support company goals and growth initiatives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in financial reporting.
• Work closely with the Leadership Team to build, manage, and lead the Lindon Group Finance Team.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to finance and accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years minimum of experience in a Controller role, ideally within construction, manufacturing, distribution, or other project-based industries.
• Deep understanding of operational finance, cost accounting, and project/job costing.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting, ERP and MRP software (e.g., DDI Advantiv, ASA, Quick Books Enterprise, Sage, Viewpoint, Net Suite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
