Overview

The candidate will be responsible for design, development, test and documentation of complex digital/analog circuits and electromechanical systems from concept to production and for product support thereafter. Some project management experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Develops products from marketing specifications and requirements through production release.
  • Develops robust engineering / technical solutions and designs that anticipate future product features and functionality
  • Resolves complex design / development / redesign issues in a highly efficient manner using innovative approaches.
  • Participates in all aspects of product development including detailed design, evaluation testing and prototype fabrication.
  • Conducts and participates in design reviews.
  • Responsible for part and assembly design, bills of material and engineering change orders.
  • Leads and participates in the diagnosis, evaluation, and solution to problems that arise in the field.
  • Plans and executes product tests to ensure conformance to quality standards.
  • Determines methods for own work and may assist in determining methods for the work of the team on semi-complex assignments
  • Interacts directly with other departments and external suppliers.
  • Works with contract manufacturers on all aspects of product development.
  • Communicates and advocates regularly with technical and product experts, mid and senior level managers, and thought leaders throughout BRIGHTSTAR LOTTERY
  • Often serves as technical resources to and mentor less experienced personnel.
  • Capable of leading projects
  • Participates or leads in the creation of and promotes new or revised electrical engineering standards
Qualifications
  • Must possess a BSEE at minimum, advanced degree preferred
  • Typically 8 to 12+ years of relevant technical experience and/or educational equivalency
  • Typically has 1 to 2 years of project design lead experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of AC power and DC electrical circuits is required
  • Experience with DxDesigner schematic capture required
  • PADS layout, SPICE, VHDL, and other development tools desired.
  • Experience with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Experience estimating effort for schedule planning
  • Experience self-managing time to complete tasks per estimated schedule
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision
  • Has advanced in-depth knowledge of / skills in the content areas of Electronics design, Circuit design, PCB layout, Embedded controls, Programmable logic, Radiated/Conducted Emissions and Electromagnetic compatibility

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
