The Account Lead owns and advances the customer relationship for a defined group of sitework, waterworks, and infrastructure contractors.
Sitting at the center of Lindonʼs inside-execution–led model, the Account Lead ensures that once a customer is engaged, every interaction is organized, proactive, accurate, and consistent
, regardless of project size or internal personnel changes.
This role blends relationship stewardship, execution leadership, and opportunity development
, working closely with Operations, Estimating, Ordering, and Logistics to deliver a best-in-class customer experience while driving long-term customer growth and retention.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned customers
- Maintain proactive, professional communication with project managers, estimators, and field leadership
- Manage expectations around pricing, lead times, submittals, and deliveries
- Communicate risks, changes, or delays early and transparently
- Ensure customers always feel informed, supported, and confident their projects are being handled
Ensure every project moves from bid to execution cleanly, accurately, and without friction.
- Own the end-to-end coordination of quotes, bids, submittals, and documentation
- Receive, organize, and manage incoming quote requests and bid documents
- Ensure bid packages are complete, clearly defined, and executable prior to estimating
- Coordinate closely with Estimating to deliver accurate, competitive quotes
- Present quotes clearly and follow up with purpose and context
- Track awarded versus quoted scope to maintain alignment throughout execution
- Prepare, submit, and track all material submittals, approvals, and revisions
- Maintain organized job folders, compliance documents, certifications, and closeout materials
Translate customer commitments into smooth internal execution.
- Lead internal job kick-offs to align Operations, Ordering, and Logistics
- Capture and document project-specific requirements (delivery sequencing, site constraints, stored materials)
- Maintain real-time awareness of job status, open backlog, and upcoming milestones
- Partner with Operations to anticipate challenges and support consistent, accurate execution
Strengthen relationships while expanding opportunity within the right customers.
- Conduct planned, purposeful customer and job site visits to reinforce relationships and execution alignment
- Organize site and customer visits intentionally (generally one to two structured day per week, as workload allows)
- Use customer engagement to:
- Deepen understanding of customer workflows and preferences
- Identify upcoming material needs, new projects, and scope expansions
- Surface opportunities early and coordinate pursuit with Leadership
- Own customer retention through consistent performance, follow-through, and trust
- Balance customer advocacy with Lindonʼs long-term business interests
- Gather ongoing customer feedback and identify friction points
- Escalate issues early and collaborate internally on solutions
- Maintain detailed CRM notes to preserve continuity and institutional knowledge
- Ensure a consistent Lindon experience regardless of personnel or project changes
- Construction supply, waterworks, utilities, sitework, or adjacent infrastructure environments
- Familiarity in plans, specs, and coordinating projects
