Role Description We are seeking a Senior Battery Scientist to strengthen our laboratory‑scale Research and Development activities. This role is intended for an experienced professional who will act as a technical and scientific reference for battery development, characterization, and interpretation of electrochemical behavior, working closely with engineers, modelers, and the broader R&D team.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in battery chemistry and electrochemical testing and is capable of leading complex experimental activities, critically analyzing data, and providing scientific guidance to support technology development and strategic R&D decisions. The role combines hands‑on laboratory work with advanced data interpretation and cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities Lead and supervise cell assembly, testing, and electrochemical characterization (RFB and / or other battery technologies)
Design and execute advanced electrochemical test protocols (performance, aging, efficiency, safety)
Perform in‑depth analysis and interpretation of experimental data to identify key electrochemical phenomena
Collaborate with battery test engineers and modeling teams to link experimental results with models and simulations
Support the development and optimization of materials, electrolytes, and cell architectures
Contribute to R&D strategy definition and technology roadmap development
Prepare technical reports, scientific documentation, and internal presentations
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior scientists and laboratory staff
Qualifications
MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields5+ years of experience in battery or electrochemical system R&DStrong knowledge of electrochemical principles and battery testing methodologies
Proven hands‑on laboratory experience and autonomy in experimental work Strong data analysis and scientific interpretation skills
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary R&D teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
