Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a ECHOCARDIOGRAPHER-VASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST to join our VASCULAR/ECHO team!
The Echocardiographer/Peripheral Vascular Technologist provides quality cardiovascular diagnostic services to patients of all ages and understands the needs of specific age groups in terms of their physical and motor development, psychosocial development, and intellectual/language development.
- Performing echocardiogram tests to obtain important data about patients
- Looking at blood flow, valve function, and chamber size to determine the overall condition of the heart
- Assisting physicians in the diagnosis of patients with heart conditions
- Accurately recording patient data and test results
- Helping with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments or cleaning equipment
- May travel to other sites within the region, as needed
HOURS: .9 FTE/72 hours every two weeks working four shifts between Monday-Friday, 7am to 330pm
Experience / Qualifications- Knowledge of standards and procedures as they relate to ultrasound normally acquired through graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- One or more years of clinical ultrasound experience is preferred but not required.
- ARDMS RDCS, ARDMS RVT, CCI RCS or CCI RVS
- Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
