Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time (40 hours per week) Child Support Specialist position with the Human Services Department at the Courthouse location. Oneida County Human Services is a Trauma Informed Agency that empowers, educates and supports agency staff to provide services in a caring, compassionate and safe environment.
JOB DUTIES:
This position performs case management and investigative duties in the area of Child Support, including establishing paternity, locating absent parents, establish and enforce orders for financial and medical support of children and independently conducts investigations to determine facts on a case-by-case basis in accordance with State and Federal Statutes.
EDUCATION AND
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must have a High school degree or equivalent, and two years (48 credits) post high school education and four years of related work experience preferably in an office, legal or court related area; may allow for a substitution of additional education or experience in order to meet qualifications. Position requires computer knowledge, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, the public and legal professionals, the ability to plan, organize and schedule priorities effectively, meet deadlines and work accurately and efficiently under pressure and the ability to type 40 wpm.
WAGES AND BENEFITS:
Starting 2026 wage for this position is $25.79 per hour plus excellent benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement System benefits, affordable health, dental and vision insurance and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carryover unused PTO into future years.
WORK HOURS AND
SCHEDULE:
Position works full-time, 40 hours per week. The position would work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
