- The Quality and EHS Manager serves in a leadership role in the implementation, support, and oversight of EHS, Quality, Sustainability and ISO policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and practices at our facilities. This leader will develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure that:
- All products meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
- EHS programs and procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Meaningful and realistic safety targets are achieved with continuous improvement.
- Quality and EHS management systems meet ISO requirements and certifications are maintained.
- Sustainability action plans are created and executed in alignment with corporate goals and objectives.
- Facilitate EHS and Quality Excellence programs, manage and coordinate training programs for employees, and coordinate with corporate programs and initiatives.
- Programs include, but are not limited to:
Environmental;
Occupational Safety;
Process safety;
Product Safety;
Industrial Hygiene;
Quality;
Sustainability; ISO Certification;
Emergency response and planning. - Provide guidance and facilitate a collaborative approach to site management on implementation of EHS, Quality, Sustainability and ISO programs to reduce risk and incidents of accidents, injuries, and environmental releases. Stay current on relevant regulations and ensure compliance. Monitor and report on the performance of EHS, Quality, Sustainability and ISO KPIs and personnel, including training, permitting, certifications, reporting, auditing, and recordkeeping.
Build and maintain employee support for the EHS culture with a focus on continual improvement. - As DAC grows, may be responsible for administrative and supervisory leadership of a team. Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Analyze accident/incident trends and develop recommendations to improve safety behaviors and plant safety. Use problem-solving tools where appropriate.
- Initiate regular meetings with Plant Managers to set Quality/EHS goals and measure performance.
- Maintain working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Understand facility goals, determine focus areas, and develop tactical plans to achieve identified goals.
- Carry out plans by engaging and guiding key site stakeholders.
- Monitor environmental KPIs, communicate progress to stakeholders, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advocate for continual environmental performance improvement.
- Interface with site personnel to identify hazards and develop corrective/improvement measures, including review and approval of work permits and participation in incident investigations, safety audits, and reviews.
- Coordinate and manage implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Sustainability and ISO policies and practices at the facilities, including maintenance of site management systems and routine reporting.
- Promote proactive safety participation and ensure reporting and investigation of injuries, illnesses, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Provide leadership to develop and maintain environmental, health, safety, quality, sustainability and ISO programs to meet regulatory requirements.
- Support the industrial hygiene program and prepare related reports.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and continual improvement under ISO 9000 and RC14001 and Safety and Health 45001.
