Sr Structural Designer

Position Summary

The senior structural designer is responsible for developing innovative eye‑catching Point of Purchase Displays for our customers. This position is responsible for the development of high-quality prototypes, mock‑ups, cutting dies and mentoring junior staff.

• Works closely with the Creative Director to develop innovative creative solutions for our customers.
• Requires limited guidance after initial kick off meeting when developing complex designs, considering materials, manufacturing capabilities, and budget limitations. Prepares files for prototypes, mock‑ups, and cutting dies for production.
• Analyzes structural integrity to ensure that the display performs optimally in the field.
• Evaluates customer renderings and or CAD files and provides possible improvements in style, function and appearance.
• Maintains effective time‑management on multiple projects.
• Mentors junior structural designers, providing technical expertise and guidance on design principles and best practices.
• Follows all guidelines and best practices regarding quality control procedures.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety, organizational skills and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Creative Director.
• Rendering capabilities is a plus.
• Remains up to date and current on all industry trends involving Display and POP Creative and production and design software.
• Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g., OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local Laws).
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information and other sensitive and confidential information.

Bachelor's Degree in Product Design or Packaging Design related field or equivalent work experience is required.

• 10 years in relevant previous experience in Point of Purchase design role.

Proficient in Artios

CAD, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino 3D.
