Special Education Teacher Part time

Overview

Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team. We offer competitive pay for 15 hours of work per week, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life while making a significant impact on students  educational journeys. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging environment.

This part-time position gives you the opportunity to work with K-8 students in a pull-out model, designing individualized plans that cater to each student s strengths and challenges.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
• Utilize effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and learning
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Coordinate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
• Adapt instructional methods based on individual student needs and assessments

• Bachelor s degree in Special Education or a related field;
  Master s degree preferred
• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-8 students, particularly in a special education setting
• Knowledge of various learning disabilities and tailored instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Commitment to the social and academic growth of all students

• 1099 position
• About 15 hours a week
• Flexible hours
