Job Description
UK Industrial Fusion Solutions (UKIFS) Ltd, a subsidiary of the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), is dedicated to delivering fusion energy by designing and building the Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production (STEP) prototype plant. UKIFS is establishing its operations, appointing teams, engaging industry partners and creating a supply chain to bring the prototype to life.
Salary and LocationSalary: £32,577.
Location:
West Burton, Nottinghamshire – on‑site working 3 days per week with flexible arrangements for meetings.

The RoleThe Technical Coordination Team is part of the STEP Programme and provides technical support and coordination services to UKIFS work packages and projects. The role holder will act as an advisor to project managers, lead engineers and project team members, specialising in UKIFS document management processes and project SharePoint deployment. Responsibilities also include facilitating project activities, liaising with senior technical coordinators, ensuring delivery milestones, and supporting Plant Information Management System (PIMS) training courses for the STEP Programme.

Essential:
- Industry‑related qualifications or equivalent experience (HNC/Degree – ideally in STEM)
- Demonstrable experience supporting projects in a complex technical environment
- Expertise in SharePoint deployment, build and configuration
- IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
