- BOHS modules in M505 / 503 / 505 / 506 / 507 / 502
- Proven field experience conducting occupational hygiene assessments and authoring reports.
- Occupational Hygiene degree or Diploma:
Certificate of Operational Competence (BOHS) - Current professional member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society Faculty of Occupational Hygiene at a minimum grade of Licentiate or Specialist Licentiate Grade (i.e. LFOH or LFOH(S)) or higher
- CertOH (or active progression towards it)
- Experience with IAQ investigations, LEV assessments, and Legionella risk assessments.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. BOHS or equivalent).
- Plan and undertake occupational exposure monitoring (dusts, fumes, vapours, gases, metals), including sampling strategy, instrument set‑up, calibration, and field QA.
- Conduct workplace noise surveys in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations, producing clear, actionable recommendations.
- Carry out assessments for vibration (HAVS), COSHH, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), LEV performance checks, welding fumes, WBVs, thermal assessments and Legionella risk where competent.
- Analyse data, interpret results against WELs/EH40 and other relevant standards, and write concise, professional client reports.
- Provide pragmatic control advice (engineering, procedural, and PPE) and contribute to improvement plans.
- Liaise with teams, schedule efficiently, and complete projects to agreed scopes, budgets, and deadlines.
- Maintain equipment, records, and quality documentation in line with ISO procedures and best practice.
- Work with the Health, Safety and Environment team to offer an integrated approach to health risk management.
- Specialist knowledge of RPE / face fit testing.
- Guide the business on identifying, controlling, verifying hazards, and recommending effective interventions.
- Lead health risk assessments and implement robust monitoring programmes, analyse results and drive meaningful outcomes.
- Design and deliver proactive health risk management campaigns and training programmes for operational teams.
- Participate in project groups and forums to help shape best practice and drive engagement.
