Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor looking for flexible, ongoing work in secondary schools across Retford? Academics are working closely with a number of supportive secondary schools in the area who are seeking reliable Cover Supervisors to provide classroom supervision during teacher absences.

Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing positions
Pay: £100 - £130 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and follow pre-set work. This role is ideal for graduates or individuals with experience working with young people who are considering a future career in education. You will not be required to plan or mark work, making this an excellent opportunity to gain classroom experience while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support pupils to stay engaged and focused
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

• ✔ A degree (essential)
• ✔ Experience working with young people (desirable)
• ✔ Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
• ✔ Confident, flexible, and reliable approach
• ✔ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
