Senior Informatica Developer

Position Overview

CGI seeks a Senior Informatica Developer to join our team in Reston, VA. This role is hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) and involves developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise data warehouse applications using Informatica Power Center as the primary ETL platform.

• Develop, enhance, and support enterprise data warehouse applications.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including finance stakeholders, to translate business needs into reliable, high‑performing data solutions.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation (one week per month) to support production systems.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and data reconciliation testing of ETL workflows.
• Design and execute data validation and performance test cases.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and work with orchestration tools.

• Deep expertise in Informatica Power Center and ETL development.
• Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EMR, ECS, Glue, Redshift, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Cloud Watch).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and large‑scale data pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Strong SQL skills (Redshift, Postgres, Oracle).
• Experience testing ETL workflows (unit, integration, regression, and data reconciliation).
• Ability to design and execute data validation and performance test cases.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Autosys (Redwood a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab, Git Hub, UCD).
• Comfortable working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and clear communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call production support rotation.
• Nice to Have: Experience with Power Center to IDMC migration; familiarity with Alteryx; exposure to Terraform; experience with GenAI tools such as Git Hub Copilot.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
