Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Anon Vation is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer to support a mission‑critical customer in Reston, VA. This on‑site role requires core‑hour availability Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexibility outside core hours to achieve an 8‑hour day.

• Plan, design, test, integrate, configure, and deliver software services across development, testing, and production environments.
• Participate in quarterly Agile Development Planning and customer meetings.
• Deploy updates to AWS cloud services (Elastic, RHEL, WSUS) and perform cross‑domain integration and automation.
• Design, develop, test, and document new system capabilities or enhancements.
• Support and maintain existing infrastructure and applications.
• Integrate new data sources into secure mission systems.
• Manage databases, configure systems, perform load balancing, allocate storage, and validate documentation.
• Automate operations in cloud and Linux‑based environments.
• Conduct system‑level integration of software components to meet customer requirements.
• Create and execute system testing and support all phases of the application development lifecycle.

• TS/SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus 10 years of relevant technical experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications (CompTIA CySA+ preferred or equivalent such as Security+ and Cloud+).
• Full‑time on‑site availability in Reston, VA.
• Hands‑on experience with each of the following technologies and concepts:
  • Software development in classified environments using Linux.
  • Software development, testing, and configuration management (Git, Git Hub).
  • PHP, JavaScript (NextJS, React), Python (Django).
  • REST API development.
  • Extensive Bash scripting and automation with Ansible.
  • Securing and delivering software updates via testing, security assessment, and authorization.
  • Technical writing.
  • Teamwork, communication (verbal, written), and presentation skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to take on new technical challenges.

• Active SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Active CompTIA CySA+ and certifications covering both DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support; AWS or Linux certifications.
• Agile development experience and familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• AWS or other cloud certifications.
• Experience with Linux systems administration or systems engineering.
• Supporting full lifecycle A&A processes for classified DoD or IC infrastructure and application service delivery.
