As an Armed Security Officer in Fairfax, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government buildings and properties and more. As an Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal at our locations, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security‑related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
• Control access by observing and verifying visitor credentials as required, monitoring entry points, and directing guests to appropriate destinations in accordance with site policies.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports with accurate, timely details and communicate relevant updates to the client and Allied Universal leadership during shift turnover.

• Must be 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must have 2 years of armed related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess an Active Armed VA DCJS.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience are preferred, but will train if needed.
• CPR and first aid certification are preferred but will train if needed.
• Will have to pass the contracts required SO4 Shoot at the range.
• Will have to take the contracts required polygraph.
  
  As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
